Christmas Amusement

I love Christmas.

And I love this whimsical snow globe that Gwen received from her Nursery leaders on Sunday.

Gwen loves it, too. She loves to shake it and watch the sparkles swirl around. The sparkles are supposed to be snow and snow is cold. So, when Gwen watches the sparkles swirl around Santa, Gwen exclaims "Santa! Cold!"

The snow globe sometimes leaks a little, so, sadly, Mr. Clause has to be kept at a higher-than-Gwen-elevation. Gwen cried at first, so to comfort her I said:

"Santa sits on the sill so he can see the snow outside."

Gwen looked at me amused, curious by the idea that that Santa wanted to look outside. I was amused by my spontaneous alliterative skills. Try saying that sentance 3 times.

Santa sits on the sill so he can see the snow outside.
