166 Days

Lily is 166 days old today.
Lily a little rolly-poly who loves to eat and play.
She is very interactive and VERY smiley!
(but still nowhere near as smiley as Ben's Daniel. No baby can top that.)
Because she is so, she commands attention.

I mean, c'mon . . .

Who wouldn't want to tickle and kiss that little face?

Lily is getting pretty strong and can do some tricks:
  • roll from belly to back and back to belly
  • the 360 belly pivot
  • the "death grip"
  • sitting without assistance (for 10-20 seconds)
  • the foot grab and toe suck
As of last night, Lily has started eating solids (rice cereal), and
for the first time in her life went an entire night with only one feed.
Needless to say, I'm feeling a bit refreshed today.

Gwen loves her little sister.
She still calls her "baby" and not by her name.
Gwen is very curious and adventurous when it comes to Lily
and discovers a new way to make her cry everyday.

*sigh*

It's a good thing Lily is resilient.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

My favorite moment of the day is seeing Lily's eyes
open for the first time in the morning.
I try to be by her crib for it.
She smiles instantly.
I look into her eyes and I see so much joy and love.

Love for life. Love for me.

I love being a mother.
I'm definitely not perfect, so
I am thankful to have daughters who give me the benefit of the doubt.

Still, I try to be the best that I can be
if not for myself, for them.
