Harry Potter and the Christmas Wreath

Last week BT Television/CityTV were giving out five prize packages that included 10 tickets to see the advanced screening of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, stickers, a t-shirt and hat. To enter the contest, you had to send them a photo of yourself depicting your HP fan-factor. I was bored and thought I'd give it a shot, so I sent in the photo of when I dressed up for the opening of HP5 (pictured in below post "Harry Potter") It was a long shot as a lot pf people enter these kinds of contests, and they were only selecting 5 winners. To my surprise, I received a phone call Friday night from BT informing me that I had won!!! I was so excited I was jumping up and down and screaming into the phone! I was so frazzled after the phone call, that I forgot numerous things as I was packing to go visit Susan and Abraham in Edmonton. It was really tough to decide who I was going to invite, I had all my friends and family to think about. In the end I decided to invite all those who could come from the Ellingson family (sorry Allreds). Ben and Patricia came with baby Daniel (who did SO good by the way), Lena and Neal came with Jorgen and Berg, Erik and Laura were able to come, and of course, Tanner and I. It was really really awesome. I arrived at the theater 2 hours early so I could save a place in line and guarantee us good seats (which we got). In regards to the actual movie, it was AMAZING. I am really happy they split the movie into two parts (which Lena didn't know so she was totally confused at the end of the movie LOL). They were really able to develop more things. We even get to meet Bill Weasley, who they have skipped over in the last two films! For those who are going to see it, you are in for a treat! It's the darkest of all the films for sure and definitely not appropriate for younger children. *Sigh* I think I might go see it again :)

IT SNOWED!! Yay! It's really starting to feel like Christmas is coming soon (only 39 more days!). In my excitement, I hung the Christmas wreath on the front door. I can't wait until Dec. 1, so I can put up all of the decorations! We gave in and bought an artificial tree this year (I didn't want Gwen crawling around choking on fallen pine needles). It is only a 4 foot tree, so it's little, but will be easy to move around with us in the future. To get me more in the spirit, I will be working on getting Christmas cards sent out, and maybe get some wrapping done as all our Christmas shopping is done. That's right! DONE! I cannot wait until Christmas.

Tanner just found out last week that his work is giving him a full week off! YAY!
