All Hallows Eve

We had a really great Halloween Weekend. On Saturday we attended the  tri-ward Halloween Party and Trunk or Treat. I was very fun and VERY well attended. There was a costume competition and I was hoping to get best family/couple by dressing us all up as fruit. But we were outdone by a family who dressed up as Where's Waldo spawn. All 8 of then were wearing red and white striped shirts, hats, and black glasses. I was pretty impressed.

On Thursday I was in Innisfail at my sister-in-law's house to make Carmel Popcorn Balls. SO YUM! My s-i-l is UBER talented at so many things, every time I go over to her house I learn a knew skill (thank you!!) Tanner and I passed out the popcorn balls at the trunk or treat. They were a hit. Tanner insisted that Gwen was old enough to participate in the trunk or treat and went around with her to all the cars collecting candy. It was pretty silly as Gwen can't eat candy. It will be a lot more appropriate next year.

Sunday, Tanner and I (actually just me because I'm controlling) carved our Halloween pumpkin. It was a pretty chill evening as we watched movies and passed out candy to the 40 kids we had at our door. We were expecting a lot more kids because we live on a major road in our community. So, we probably bought twice as much candy as we should have. I was giving our huge handfulls of candy to kids and we still have a bowl full of candy! It was fun though, and kids got wide-eyed as I filled their sacks, and gave me a big thanks :) It was a great Halloween!
