we. were. going. to. play. outside.
Into the wrap Lily went. Gwen, into her toque and boots.
There is a playground right behind our house, but it doesn't have a swing so we usually walk a couple of blocks to another park our neighborhood. It's only two blocks away, but it took us 20 minutes as Gwen picked up and collected EVERY stick she could see along our route.
Gwen was so proud of her collection of sticks, that she carried them for quite some time . . .
. . . until she accidentally poked herself in the eye with one of them, and then they were immediately forsaken.
Lily was happy and giggly the entire time. I love to carry her around so close to me, but I can't wait until she can walk and then can run around with Gwen.
I am so thankful to have my daughters. They have such pure and sweet spirits. I am looking forward to seeing them learn and grow, teaching them about their divine nature. Helping them discovering and cultivating their talents. Teaching them to pray, to serve, and to love themselves.
Being a mother is the greatest calling.
Cute post! I love your girls' toques!!
ReplyDeleteI know every step of that route to the park. Wait until Gwen is flying downhill on that pathway on a tricycle and you realize only after she's gone out of reach that she's speeding up way more than you thought and you just hope she doesn't crash before the bottom. Fortunately, Scott never did.
