Time To Go Outdoors

Gwen knows what the word "zoo" means. This morning I told Gwen that we were going to the Zoo. In response, she held her hands up to her mouth and squealed with excitement! It was pretty awesome. The zoo is one of Gwen's most favorite place to be.

Gwen and I went to the Zoo twice this week: with Tanner on Saturday, and then with Auntie Susan today. Let me tell you, buying a Calgary Zoo Pass was one of the best decisions we made in 2010. (Check out more best decisions.) It has been so wonderful to go to the zoo at anytime with no extra costs. Gwen loves to press her face up to the glass and look at all the animals. She also has so much fun at the zoo playground that she is now, finally, big enough to play on. The ice-cream is also a favorite of both mine and Gwen's. So creamy. So yum. Even though the zoo is open all year round, it doesn't have ice-cream during the winter months. I am glad to say that the sun is shining and we can now please our taste buds with this cold creamy goodness.
