Over the past few months we have been drilling the words "Thank you" into Gwen's vocabulary. Usually these words are just associated with receiving food or objects she wants to hold, so this morning's declaration of gratitude took me somewhat by surprise. This unexpected validation was so surprising, in fact, that I cried. Call me sensitive, but after close to 3000 pees, poops, and blow-outs, my daughter looked into my eyes and thanked me.
I gave her a big hug and said "You're welcome."
That's awesome. Those are the best moments!
