We haven't been able to do much swimming this summer as Gwen has ear tubes and can't immerse her head in water, so spray parks is the perfect alternative on a hot summer day. However, I'm sad to say that Calgary doesn't have very many good spray parks; a lot of wading pools, not a lot of spray parks. I am happy to say that one of the very few spray parks that Calgary does have, happens to be close to where we live (relatively). It was built just this year so it was brand spanking new. We had a LOT of fun there this summer, Gwen and I, along with the friends and family who occasionally joined us and of course, Lily who pretty much slept most days.
When we first went to the spray park, Gwen wouldn't run through the water and hardly even got wet. By the end of the summer, however, she had worked her way up to holding her face right in the spray! Way to go, Gwen!
Yup, I'd say the pray park was the activity of the summer! Until next year....
