Gwen has learned to say "thank you"!
It doesn't sound exactly right yet, but the intonations are there and we know what she is trying to say. Gwen likes to help us un-stack (Yes, I say "un-stack, not "un-load". Deal with it.) the dishwasher. She will pick up a dish and hand it to us to put away. We say thank you every time she passes us something, and she has learned to repeat us. Thus, whenever we are un-STACKING the dishwasher we hear a lot of "thank you"s. It's pretty fun.
Here's a video of our polite little "helper". You'll notice at the end that she tries (and succeeds) to drop a bowl behind her head. This all started with her balls and toys. For some reason it is more fun to drop things behind her head than to throw them in front of her. I'm just glad that she chose to drop the bowl rather than throw it, so I count myself lucky.
Enjoy!
Jenny
