We Finally Made It

It took applying three times and being denied twice, but Tanner is finally fulfilling his dream of being a architectural student at Dalhousie University in Halifax.

So, incase you haven't heard . . .

WE'VE MOVED!

On August 26, Tanner started his journey to the East coast, with my dad as the navigator, in our packed-to-its-limit minivan. They would arrive six days later at our new [fully furnished] home in Halifax.

On September 2, I flew out with the girls and my mom.
June was a dream baby, who practically slept the entire time in my mother's arms.
Gwen was super helpful, and found everything about the flight magical and wondrous.
Lily was . . . well . . . a two-year-old on a 5 hour flight.
Sanity was maintained by a constant flow of food and distraction.

After arriving, and being reunited with Tanner, my dad, our luggage, three car seats and stroller, we took our first steps on Nova Scotian soil and took our first breath of the warm and humid coastal air.

WE FINALLY MADE IT.

In our trusty mini-van, Tanner drove us to our new home.
It is big. It is beautiful. It has an en suite bathroom.

Our first week here was pretty much spent organizing rooms, stocking our fridge and pantry, and exploring (a little) Halifax downtown. I'm certain to blog more about our ventures, but for now all I will say is this:

This place is beautiful, people!
We have a hide-a-bed, so come visit.

Our family, at our house in Halifax.

Just kidding.
That door is like, 5 feet tall.
