It's a Banana!

I had my second ultrasound this morning. It went by really quick! Despite the fact that the waiting room was TOTALLY full, I only just sat down before my name was called. I felt so special :)

During the ultrasound, I had the technician do a double check on the gender (you can never be too sure!), and we are still having a girl. The baby is doing great, which makes me happy. I was also happy that the appointment only took 30 minutes, unlike last weeks 1 1/2 hour visit. I think it is in part due to the fact that the overseeing doctor had laryngitis and couldn't talk for very long. Conversation was cut short, and I was out in a jiffy.

Week 21 Baby Stats:

• Weight - 420 g (just shy of 1lb)
• Height - approx. 10.5" (crown to heel)
• Fruit Size - Large Banana
• Baby has fully functioning taste buds and is starting to swallow amniotic fluid. She is now getting a taste of the things that I eat! I wonder if she likes kimchi? Hmmm...
• Baby can now hear my voice!

Mommy Stats:

• Cravings - Anything edible
• Itchy Belly - check
• Growing Pains - check
• Favorite Activity - taking a HOT shower, mmmmmm.....
