A TMI Post

Did you you that I walk on my tippy toes throughout the entire day?
Not figuratively either. I an literally on the balls of my feet all day.

Why?

Because I chronically have the worst case of cracked/dry heels known to man.
I don't think I've been crack free for well over a year.
And these cracks are deep.
So deep that to put any amount of pressure on them causes me extreme pain.

I know. I know.
You are saying "Why don't you treat those bad boys with a pumice stone and some lotion?"
The answer is that I do.
And maybe they'll get soft and smooth after a while,
but the cracks are so deep the actually never seem to go away.

The only positive things about all this is that walking on my tippy toes actually helps with my posture and strengthens the muscles in my my leg/butt.

But alas, this can't go on forever and I am forcing myself to buy a pair of indoor shoes.
The doctor tells me that walking around the house in my bare feet is a part cause of the problem.
My sister Lena wears runners while at home and has for years.
If you ever go visit her during the day, you might feel as thought your interrupting her workout because  she "dresses to work out" every morning.

I need to do this.
My feet will thank me.

  1. I have really dry, dragon-scaly feet but I bought O'Keefe's for Feet and put it on everyday for a week and it made an amazing difference. I also bought a pumice sponge and used that in the shower. My feet are still dry and cracked but now I wouldn't be embarrassed to go for a pedicure.

  3. I know this seems strange but use super glue in the cracks. It works like a charm!
