The Last Appointment

This afternoon I had my VERY LAST doctor's appointment.

After lunch, I dropped Gwen off at a friends house. (Have I ever mentioned how amazing people have been about taking care of Gwen during my bazillion appointments/ultrasounds these past 9 months!?)  She cried a whole bunch, as per usual, but I had to split to get to my appointment on time. In my rush, I ran out the door barefooted. I was getting into the car when I realized "Hey, I don't have any shoes on!" You know you're pregnant when.....

Today's appointment went well, nothing out of the ordinary. We discussed how I was feeling and went over results from my latest ultrasound. I'm feeling pretty good, really pregnant, but good. Baby is apparently doing really well herself, too! No signs of anemia or hydrops, and weighing in at around 7.5 lbs. I'm only 36 weeks people, so that's a BIG baby. I am just really thankful that I don't have to go until my due date (can you say "10 lb baby!?" Yikes!), which brings me to my next announcement: I am scheduled to be induced July 5th, which is next Tuesday! Crazy!! Even though the baby seems to be doing just fine, it's standard procedure, in circumstances like mine own, to deliver the baby as soon as it is safe to do so. And by 37 weeks, baby is considered to be full-term anyway, so it's safe.

I'm pretty pumped.

I've realized I haven't posted any prego pictures. Not even one. Maybe because this time around I didn't feel like a cute pregnant woman, like I did with Gwen........Hence the silly/awkward pose I took of myself 15 mintues ago.

There are now a lot more pressing items on my To-Do list. One of the most important ones being: grocery shopping. Tanner and I are planning a huge Costco/Superstore run on Saturday. I don't want our fridge/freezer/cupboards to look scanty when baby arrives, because who knows how soon I'll feel up to taking the girls out on a grocery run.

"The girls."

Those words have never sounded so wonderful.
